Cooking quinoa is so easy and fast in the Instant Pot.
- 1 ¼ Cup Water
- 1 cup Quinoa
Using a fine sieve, rinse the quinoa under running water for about a minute. Spray the instant pot with non-stick cooking spray.
Add the water and quinoa to the Instant pot. Close and seal the lid.
Pressure Cook on High for 1 minute. Naturally release the pressure for 12 minutes.
Serve and Enjoy!
*Rinsing the quinoa beforehand ensures that all of the saponin (a naturally occurring bug repellent) is washed away. Saponin can make the quinoa taste bitter if it remains on the grain.
*Broth can be substituted for the water, resulting in a more savory tasting quinoa. Additional seasonings can be added in with the water and quinoa before cooking to make the quinoa more flavorful.
